It is a very secure case, holding the Fire snugly and safely, with even a velcro tab to keep the Fire inside the inner frame while using the stand. It's easy to use, the stand holds the Fire at a good angle for watching video, movies, etc.The trouble for me is the "spine" of the case, which is considerably thicker than the Fire inside the leather frame. When the case is closed, there is clear air between the front cover of the case and the Fire at the spine edge. This may not matter to all users, but since I carry my Kindle in my purse, 1/4 inch of extra thickness is problematic. For a "Slim Profile" case, slimmer is better.
